There is some new unethical report in Netherlands stating that the new 135i hatchback is going to be launched in few months with the capacity to deliver 320 hp of power.

The new modified edition of 2012 1-series BMW cars will be launched overseas with a choice of 7 engines.

The new 128i edition is featured with 2L engine for generating 245 hp of power. There is news in the web that the hot hatchback is likely to get 3L turbocharged engine with enough power to generate 355 hp.

Not only this, there’s lots more things to arrive in this year. Let’s wait and see.

Recently released Mission Impossible 4-Ghost Protocol Movie, starring Tom Cruise has grasped a lot of attention worldwide for showcasing the new BMW futuristic cars.

Advertisement of auto brands through action flicks is not an entirely new concept. The well known British sports car, Aston Martin in the past, was promoted in the James Bond movie.

BMW 1 series was hopefully the least expensive model in the company’s line-up. Its base model 128i was powered by a 3.0-ltr V6 engine for generating 228hp, mated to 6-speed automatic transmission, while the performance-oriented model was equipped with a 3.0-ltr inline-6 turbocharged engine for generating 300hp and 300 lb-ft of torque, coupled to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission called as DCT.

BMW Driving Towards 2011 Production Goal

BMW Manufacturing Unit is on its way to meet 2011’s goal of manufacturing 270,000 vehicles and it had announced that it would develop 6,730 vehicles in one of the weeks of December.

It breaks down to 1,109 X6 sports activity coupes, 2,466 X5 sports activity vehicles and 3,155 X3 SAVs. In November, the firm has developed almost 24,679 vehicles, including 3,680 X6s, 9,650 X5s, and 11,349 X3s.

So far, the Greer plant and its 7,000 employees including permanent and contract workers have developed 264,954 vehicles. It includes 41,980 X6 units, 106,329 X5 units, and 116,644 X3 units. As per the company, they are expecting 300,000 units of sales in US.

BMW to Export China Manufactured Long-Wheelbase 5-Series

According to some latest reports, it seems like the German-based BMW International portfolio will obtain a bit more Chinese in recent times.

The automaker will export its new long-wheelbase 5-Series sedan produced in China to other major markets by the end of 2011.

As per some resources, the announcement has been made by BMW just before the recently held Guangzhou motor show in China.

But, whether it will be exported to U.S market will be anyone’s guess as of now; however the company has mentioned that it’s possible that the new sedan might be tested somewhere in Asia or Middle East, and nothing has been confirmed from the company yet.

CEO Reithofer Claims X4 Sport Crossover for 2014

The company’s CEO Reithofer has said to have made a statement to the German automotive magazine Auto Motor und Sport that an all weather sports coupe X4 will fill in between the already successful X3 and X6 in the year of 2014. The vehicle is speculated to lock horns with Porsche’s future crossover, Cajun.

It is said that it will be of the same length as X3, which means that it will be 8 inches shorter than the original SUV, X5.

It will have the same underpinning as X3 and will for sure feature BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

The pricing and other details have not yet been officially announced. Some are also speculating that we might just see a high performance M version in this future line up.
